What a way to waste money!
The huge statue of "Flying Goddess" was erected on 12 August, 2012.
The statue was removed and destroyed on 17 August, 2012.
This is the most efficient way of governing with dictatorship.

Which city did this happen in? Did they give a reason for why the flying goddess was taken away?

This happened in Ürümchi in Xin Jiang. People complained that the statue was too scary.
